Cheyenne Regional Airport - located in the City of Cheyenne near thecorner of 8th Avenue and Warren Ave. Take route 85 (Warren Ave. from the South, Central Ave. from the North) to the corner of 8th Avenue then proceed East on 8th Avenue and the Airport is on your left.

Denver International Airport is conveniently located only 90 minutes south of Cheyenne by car. To drive to Cheyenne from Denver International, take toll-road E-470 north to I-25. Exit north on I-25 north to Cheyenne.

Snowy Range Ski Area: 45 miles west of Cheyenne in the Medicine Bow National Forest. There are 27 downhill ski trails for beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders. Oregon Trail Ruts & Register Cliff Guernsey, WY: Ruts carved into sandstone by the passage of wagon trains heading west along the Oregon Trail are located just west of town. Register Cliff, another resting point along the Oregon Trail where travelers heading west stopped for the night and carved their names in the sandstone cliffs. Ames Monumnet
A state historic site west of Cheyenne off I-80. A 60 foot pyramid build in 1883 as a monument to Oliver and Oakes Ames (two men instrumental in the construction of the first transcontinental railroad).

Fort Laramie National Historic Site
Built in 1834 as a fur trading post. Later acquired by the military in 1849 and used as a military post from 1849 to 1890 to guard the wagons along the various trails that went through the area. Open year round.
