Here’s your opportunity to own a 40-acre homestead with history, with prices starting as low as $995 an acre*! For the first time the historic B.B. Brooks Ranch is now being offered in 40-acre parcels. Capturing the true Western spirit and natural beauty of Wyoming, this sprawling, well-maintained ranch was established in 1882 by one of the state’s first governors, Bryant B. Brooks. Brooks served from 1905 to 1911 and was the first Governor to occupy Wyoming’s Governor’s mansion. In 1914 he became the first president of the Wyoming National Bank of Casper.

History has it that Brooks originally “bought” the ranch along with a trapper’s cabin on his twenty-first birthday for six #4 traps and a sack of flour. The ranch became known as one of Wyoming’s great ranches, running both sheep and cattle. Brooks held the ranch until his death in 1946. His wife ran the ranch until 1948, when it was sold to a prominent Casper, Wyoming physician named “Doc” Stuckenhoff. The Stuckenhoff family has continued to run the ranch ever since.

Today, portions of the B.B. Brooks Ranch still operate as a cattle ranch and are home to numerous mule deer, abundant antelope and an occasional elk. Its gently rolling hills are covered in native grasses as far as the eye can see.
Now for the first time, you can make a piece of this legendary ranch land yours. We strongly believe that the B.B. Brooks Ranch just may be the best all around land value in America!
And remember, in addition to a strong economy, Wyoming offers a low cost of living with NO corporate, NO personal and NO inventory taxes. This tax structure is very beneficial to residents and businesses and it will continue to be among the lowest in the nation. Kiplinger Personal finance (July 2004) said Casper has the “Lowest tax burden among 101 U.S. Cities.”
With an average of 275 days of sunshine and just 11.2 inches of precipitation; Casper has been characterized as the “comfort zone” by the national weather service. Casper temperatures in July average 87 degrees and 32 degrees in January.
Casper offers everything from diverse businesses, shopping, churches, arts, cultural events and the Wyoming Medical Center, the state’s largest medical facility. Not to mention Fort Casper and Wyoming’s newest “must see” attraction, the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center where large interactive exhibits bring to life the experiences of early pioneers as they struggled along the historic Oregon, California, Mormon and Pony Express Trails.
This ranch is also within an easy drive of some major cities and some of the Country's most spectacular National Parks.
